Zhao Jianguo met with Ding Yuanlong, deputy secretary-general of the China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit Secretariat

On April 18, CHD Party Leadership Secretary, Chairman of the Board Zhao Jianguo met with Ding Yuanlong, deputy decretary general of the China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit (CABIS) Secretariat at CHD headquarters.

Zhao Jianguo welcomed Ding Yuanlong and his delegation and introduced CHD’s development in recent years. He said that CHD actively responds to the Belt and Road initiative and highly values cooperation with ASEAN member countries. When cooperating with Cambodian government, in particular, CHD ran the idea highlighting environmental protection, cooperation, sharing of benefits and brand building through the construction period of the Lower Stung Russei Chrum hydropower station. This practice was recognized by Chinese Embassy and the Economic and Commercial Counsellor’s Office in Cambodia as well as local peers, and also set up a good image for Chinese power enterprises. He said that Cambodian market has broad prospects and that CHD expects more help and support from CABIS in terms of cooperation with Cambodian side as it will further intensively explore this market.

Ding Yuanlong introduced preparation work of the 15^th CABIS and extended

invitation to CHD to attend the summit and the roundtable dialogue between the state leader of Cambodia and CEOs from China. He commended CHD on its achievements in contributing to the Belt and Road initiative and especially its good branding in Cambodia. He said that CHD is a now a flag for Chinese enterprises to look up to when they “go global” and that CABIS will do their best to provide better service to CHD.

Heads of relevant departments and subsidiary also attended the meeting.
