Wen Shugang in Cambodia, Singapore and Indonesia

In late September, China Huadian Corporation Board Member, President Wen Shugang went to investigate Huadian’s affiliates in Cambodia, Singapore and Indonesia and visit local governments and companies and he also gave his guidance to these Huadian’s overseas branches on market exploration, management and operation, production safety and party building. 

Wen Shugang closely checked th eoperation of Lower Stung Russei Chrum Hydropower Station

Wen Shugang and his delegation first arrived at the dam sites and the main buildings of the lower and upper hydropower stations of the Cambodian Lower Stung Russei Chrum Hydropower Station and reviewed station work reports and investigated station operation. He highly appreciated station construction and management quality and stressed that Huadian’s team there should continue their hard work and grasp market dynamic and promote follow-up projects to soon deliver results. He said that a compact country like Cambodia should be explored as a big market.

Wen Shugang also has close in-depth discussions with local energy and mineral government offices and power utilities on Huadian’s investment in Cambodia.

In Singapore, Wen Shugang went to Huadian Natural Gas Singapore Company and learned about global oil and gas markets dynamics and also appreciated this subsidiary’s exploration in oil and gas market. He highlighted that team there should learn from past experience and study harder to improve their abilities to do business and analyze markets.

In Indonesia, Wen Shugang and his delegation conducted on-site investigation on Batam and Bali stations. 

The Batam power station is Huadian’s first thermal power in foreign market. Wen Shugang inquired details about the station’s power output, capacitor factor in the dispatching room. He emphasized that team there should recognize the importance of safety and they should have plans and drills to avoid accidents.

At site of Bali phase I station, Wen Shugang checked the coal terminal, production area and dispatching room to review its operation. He praised the station as a pearl on the equator- a power house driving the island after he had learned that the station undertakes over 30% load of the whole island. He stressed that environmental protection of Bali island should be prioritized on the basis of ensuring the station running safe, efficiently and stable since the island is a famous tourist resort.

In Indonesia, Wen Shugang also had meetings on relevant matters with China’s Economic and Commercial Counsellor of the Embassy in Indonesia Wang Liping, Consular General of China in Denpasar, PLN Chief Sofyan Basir, and Arviyan Arifin, President Director Of PTBA.
