Distinguished guests gathered at Egret Island Xiamen in this golden autumn. On September 3 and 4, China Huadian Party Leadership Group Secretary and Chairman Zhao Jianguo was invited to attend the 2017 BRICS Summit in Xiamen, southeastern Fujian province and after that , he also investigated China Huadian’s Fujian subsidiary.
The BRICS Summit was initiated in 2010 as an important platform for commercial and industrial communities of BRICS states to discuss cooperation and development. This year’s summit’s theme is "BRICS: Stronger Partnership for a Brighter Future." President Xi Jinping addressed the summit, providing Chinese wisdom for deepening BRICS partnership and contributing to world peace. Heads of states and commercial and industrial leaders from related countries totaling over 1000 were present at the summit.
Chairman Zhao Jianguo also investigated group’s subsidiaries and wind farms in Xiamen and listened to their work reports while he was in Fujian province. He appreciated their work and demanded that they should further strengthen party building and accomplish annual targets to welcome the 19th NPC of CPC with great results.
