On June 12, CHD Board Director, President, Deputy Secretary of Party Leadership Wen Shugang met with Satvinder Singh, Assistant CEO of International Enterprise Singapore, exchanging views on further strengthening cooperation.
Wen Shugang welcomed the delegation and introduced to them CHD strategic plan and international business development. He said that CHD already has presence in several countries and is now attempting to go global in new ways as its active response to the Belt and Road initiative; and that Singapore’s competitive edge in such sectors as large commodities procurement, financial service, shipping and logistics has facilitated Chinese enterprises in global market. He encouraged two sides to deepen understanding and look for more opportunities of collaboration for CHD to expand footprints into Southeast Asia as well as across globe with assistance of IE Singapore.
Satvinder Singh introduced IE Singapore programs and tools for helping companies in trading, financing and natural gas procurement. He also said that IE Singapore is closely following CHD global operations and pledged to help CHD by tapping into its own strengths.
The two side also discussed about trading in LNG and coal.
Heads of relevant departments and subsidiaries also attended the meeting.
