China Energy’s 89 Wind Farms Named ‘Excellent Wind Farms’

The China Electricity Council (CEC) recently unveiled the benchmarking results of the wind farm operation indexes for 2019. A total of 89 wind farms under China Energy were cited as “Excellent Wind Farms,” including 24 at Grade 5A, 28 at Grade 4A, and 37 at Grade 3A, ranking first among all power enterprises in China.

The benchmarking was jointly conducted by the CEC Science and Technology Development Service Center and the CEC Technical Committee for Wind Power according to the National Administrative Methods for Benchmarking and Evaluation of Statistical Indexes for Wind Farms Operations, with an aim to determine and select “Excellent Wind Farms” through comprehensive evaluation, public notification and verification of the wind farms’ power generation and equipment operation indexes. A total of 2,172 wind farms under 47 electricity enterprises (with installed capacity surpassing 170 million kW, accounting for 92.37 percent of the national total) participated in the 2019 benchmarking, of which 386 were named “Excellent Wind Farms.”
