Wang Xiangxi Meets with Australian Delegation

On December 9, China Energy Chairman Wang Xiangxi met in Beijing with visiting Guy Barnett, Minister for Energy, Minister for Primary Industry and Water Resources and Minister for Resources of Tasmania of Australia, and his delegation, which was also attended by Australian Ambassador to China Graham Fletcher and Gao Song, deputy CEO of China Energy.

Wang welcomed Guy Barnett and his party, thanked the Tasmanian government for its support to China Energy’s cooperation projects in the state, and briefed the guests on the development of China Energy. He also expressed the hope that through strengthened communication and deepened cooperation, the two sides will make the two joint wind power projects in Tasmania models of good cooperation while expanding cooperation in the field of new and renewable energy, such as wind energy and hydrogen energy, to achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.

Guy Barnett thanked China Energy for its warm reception and briefed on the distribution, development and utilization of energy resources in Tasmania. He expressed welcome and support for the investment of China Energy in Tasmania, and noted that Tasmania should learn from the successful experience of China Energy in the field of clean energy. He hopes that on the basis of existing cooperation the two sides will further strengthen cooperation in wind power generation and hydrogen energy development, so as to push the economic and trade cooperation between the two countries to a new height.
