China Energy Awards Units and Individuals for Meritorious Service

China Energy Investment Corporation held a meeting on July 17 to commend units and individuals with exceptional performance in their respective posts as well as the COVID-19 epidemic response. Wang Xiangxi, chairman of the group company, delivered a speech at the meeting.

Since China Energy launched the Meritorious Service Campaign three years ago, Wang Xiangxi said, all the employees of the group have made continuous efforts to promote production safety, improve management, and enhance innovation and efficiency. A number of key and difficult problems that had restricted the development of the enterprise have been solved, and a series of reform and development results have been achieved. In the face of the sudden outbreak of COVID-19, the staff of China Energy responded quickly with united efforts, demonstrating their heroic and fearless spirit as well as a commitment to supporting and helping each other.

Wang stressed that the group company should establish a regular long-term working mechanism to continue the Meritorious Service Campaign to achieve scientific, safe, green, transformational and high-quality development. With the goal of building a world-class energy company, efforts should also be made to strengthen scientific and technological innovation, deepen reform, consolidate advantages of integrated operation, further improve quality and efficiency, and elevate the level of refined management. Wang announced two key tasks for this year: first, win the battle against poverty to lift Butuo and Puge counties out of poverty on schedule; and second, normalize the epidemic prevention and control measures to ensure safety and health of employees.

Guodian Hubei Electric Power Co., Ltd., Guodian Hanchuan Power Generation Co., Ltd., and two other companies received the title of “Unit with Outstanding Contribution”; Yuan Tianping, Zhao Hu and 15 other employees received the title of “Individual with Outstanding Contribution”; Coal Management Company, Material Management Co., Ltd. and four other companies received the title of “Advanced Unit in Collaboration”; 30 companies including Shenhua Shendong Coal Group and Guodian Power Development Co., Ltd. received the title of “Unit with Meritorious Service”; and 210 employees including Liang Wenjie and Chen Liyong received the title of “Individuals with Meritorious Service.” At the meeting, representatives from three award-winning companies and three award-winning individuals gave reports on their outstanding performance.
