The denitration catalyst for wide-load operation of power plants, developed by the Institute of Low-Carbon Energy and produced by Longyuan Catalyzer Co., Ltd. under Guodian Technology & Environment Group Corporation, was put into use at the No.2 generating unit at Hefeng Power Plant of Guoshen Group and passed a 168-hour trial operation on June 30. The denitration system began to operate when the load reached 90MW and the fume temperature reached 270 degrees Celsius. It has been proven that the system operated well under the load of 30-100 percent. The NOx concentration was less than 50mg/Nm3 and the NH3 escape less than 3ppm at the outlet, both better than the ultra-low emission standards. It has passed the full-load denitration environmental friendliness examination of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, indicating that it has in-depth adjustment capacity and can help reduce costs and increase efficiency.
Laser cutting catalyst
The Institute of Low-Carbon Energy has long been committed to researching wide-temperature denitration catalyst technology for clean, high-efficiency coal-fired electricity generation. Over the past three years, it has completed the research on the mechanism of wide-temperature denitration, catalyst formula, technique development, trial production, and long-term fume sideline field test in power plants. The institute has worked out the catalyst formula and grasped the methods for structural design based on the cutting-edge theories of “dual active center + carrier pore size distribution” and developed a series of catalysts applicable to different fields and fume conditions. Relevant research results were published on Communications Chemistry, a supplementary journal of Nature. Longyuan Catalyst Co., Ltd. optimized technological parameters such as additives, mud plasticity, and excursion dryness, and realized mass production. China Energy Investment Corporation owns the complete intellectual property right of this wide-temperature catalyst, which boasts faster response, less investment and shorter construction period while not reducing the efficiency of boilers.
