China Energy’s Intelligent Power Generation Technology Reaches World Advanced Level

On October 29, the China Society for Electrical Engineering organized a technical appraisal meeting for China’s first “R&D of intelligent power generation operation control system and its application” project in Beijing. The technology was developed by China Energy Investment Corporation and its subsidiaries in collaboration with North China Electric Power University, and has completely independent intellectual property rights. Academician Yue Guangxi, head of the appraisal committee, Academician Tang Guangfu, deputy head of the appraisal committee, and Academician Liu Jizhen, on behalf of the technology developer, attended the meeting.

After appraisal, the meeting concluded that the “R&D of intelligent power generation operation control system and its application” project integrates industrial data analysis and advanced intelligent control technology to build intelligent perception, intelligent decision-making, intelligent control and accurate performance capabilities. Featuring characteristics of self-optimization, self-learning, self-recovery, self-adaptation and self-organization, the new power generation operation control and management mode can serve as an “intelligent brain” for thermal power generation. With advanced design concepts, complete functions, high degree of intelligence, good economic and social benefits and broad application prospects, the technology has reached the world advanced level.
