Guodian Technology & Environment Group Named by SASAC as Demonstration Unit in Deepening Reform of Talent Development System and Mechanism

Recently, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC) held a meeting on talent work for central SOEs in Beijing, at which 20 enterprises selected as demonstration units in deepening the reform of the talent development system and mechanism were honored. Guodian Technology & Environment Group Corporation Limited, recommended by China Energy Investment Corporation, was listed among the demonstration units.

Since 2017, Guodian Technology & Environment Group has been focusing on the implementation of its core development strategy while advocating its core values of “cherishing value creators and concentrating various superior resources to cultivate core backbone employees.” With an aim to forge a 700-strong core talent force, the company has actively promoted its “Rainbow” talent program, formulated a six-step implementation roadmap, established 17 supporting systems and measures, and completed 10 pilot projects for talent development. After nearly two years of implementation, the company has developed more than 400 core talents, with the proportion of its professional technical personnel under the age of 40 increased by 4 percent, and some 350 outstanding talents in various fields have been recruited. The salary of scientific and technological R&D personnel has increased by 9.2 percent on average, a level about 2.1 times that of the administrative personnel. The company has seen significant improvement in both number and quality of talents, and the vitality of the talents has been effectively stimulated, which has laid a solid foundation for healthy and sustainable development of the company.
