On November 7, the third “Young Talents” List of Guodian Electric Power came out, and 150 outstanding young employees were awarded the honorary title. The “Young Talents” List selection was launched in 2013 and is held triennially. It is an all-out competition that adopts a dynamic management model. So far, a total of 370 “young talents” have been selected through three editions, providing high-caliber talent reserve for the development of the company.
Guodian Electric Power has long attached great importance to the growth of young employees and the building of talent pools. It has formulated and issued “Measures for Selecting and Managing Young Talents of Guodian,” actively creates a sound atmosphere of respecting knowledge and talents, and works to discover and cultivate outstanding young employees with moral integrity, professional competence, innovative spirit and potential for development. To select standouts, all the subsidiaries conducted initial screening among young employees under the age of 35 with a bachelor’s degree or above and two years of work experience, and the educational threshold was appropriately lowered for those particularly excellent in technical skills. In accordance with open, fair and excellent principles, the appraisal panel comprehensively evaluated the recommended candidates from dimensions of study and work experience, work performance, honors awarded, peer employee recognition, personal planning and development prospects before finally selecting 150 “young talents.”
