The 2021 Fortune China 500 list was unveiled on July 20, and GD Power Development Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Energy, was ranked 89th on the list.
GD Power is a core listed power company and integrated conventional power generation platform of China Energy. Its business scope covers coal-fired power, hydropower, wind power, solar power, coal, chemicals, and other areas, involving 26 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions in China. It is the country’s second-largest listed power company. As of the end of 2020, its assets came to nearly 357.38 billion yuan, its installed capacity exceeded 87.99 million kW, and its coal reserve reached 2.8 billion tons, with a total of 19.65 billion shares. In 2020, it realized profits of more than 10.4 billion yuan and generated electricity of more than 377.36 billion kWh, a year-on-year increase of 3 percent.
The 2021 Fortune China 500 list was compiled by the Chinese edition of Fortune magazine and China International Capital Corporation Wealth Management to evaluate the performance of all Chinese listed companies over the past year. The total revenues of the 500 Chinese listed companies on the list reach 53 trillion yuan.
