China Energy’s Second Mine Managers Meeting Convened

From September 24 to 25, the group company held its Second Mine Managers Meeting in Beijing. Wang Xiangxi, chairman of the board of directors, attended and addressed the meeting. Deputy CEO Li Dong presided over the meeting and made a concluding speech.

At the meeting, Wang Xiangxi made an in-depth analysis of the situation and tasks facing the company’s coal business, stating that since the restructuring of the group, steady progress has been made in all kinds of work, while at the same time challenges remain, such as unbalanced and inadequate industrial development. All the staff, especially coal mine managers, should strengthen confidence and determination to further develop the coal industry, so as to provide energy guarantee for China’s economic and social development, he stressed.

Wang called for vigorously promoting the high-quality development of the coal industry and realizing the “six transformations”: from scale expansion to value creation, from high energy consumption and high emissions to clean and efficient development, from traditional technology to smart intelligence, from extensive management to refined management, from labor-intensive to high-quality professional team, and from domestic leadership to global presence with great competitiveness.

Wang encouraged the attendees to strive to be excellent mine managers in the new era, requiring them to take a clear political stand, abide by rules and regulations to ensure safety, improve management and innovation, care for employees and value talent, and promote honesty and integrity. Wang Xiangxi, Li Dong and other leaders presented awards for Top 10 Best Mine Managers, and a winner delivered an acceptance speech on behalf of the Top Ten.
