Wang Xiangxi Attends 2nd Russian-Chinese Energy Business Forum in St. Petersburg

From June 5 to 7, Wang Xiangxi, chairman of the Board of Directors of China Energy, visited Russia for the Second Russian-Chinese Energy Business Forum.

Jointly initiated by top leaders of China and Russia, the forum is aimed at promoting Sino-Russian dialogue on energy, expanding energy cooperation, accelerating integrated cooperation in areas such as oil and gas development, electricity, coal, new energy and energy equipment between companies on both sides, and further consolidate bilateral strategic partnership in the new era. On June 7, Chinese President Xi Jinping joined his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin to attend and address the Second Russian-Chinese Energy Business Forum held in St. Petersburg. More than 400 representatives from nearly a hundred Chinese and Russian businesses participated in the forum.

At the session on electricity, which was co-sponsored by China Energy, State Grid Corporation of China, State Atomic Energy Corporation ROSATOM of Russia and another Russian organization, China Energy delivered a report titled “China Energy’s Path to Electricity Transformation—Clean Coal-fired Power Generation and Renewable Energy Development.”

On the sidelines of the forum, Chairman Wang also met with general manager of Russian energy giant EN+ Group and briefed him on the business of China Energy. Both sides conducted in-depth exchange on topics such as the Zashulanskoye project in Russia.
