China Energy Recognized for Science Popularization Efforts

The Chinese Society for Electrical Engineering (CSEE) recently awarded excellent science popularization books, science education bases, and “Light of Electricity” science communication experts of the year. China Energy’s “Colorful Power Generation” was awarded as an excellent science popularization book, Suqian Company’s intelligent power station science education base and Guodian Technology and Environment Group’s intelligent exhibition hall were named Electric Power Science Education Base, and 10 employees of the group were cited as “Light of Electricity” science communication experts. So far, China Energy’s number of science popularization education bases named by CSEE has reached six, and 41 of its employees have been appointed as “Light of Electricity” science communication experts.

Since President Xi Jinping made remarks that “scientific and technological innovation and science popularization are the two wings of achieving innovative development, and science popularization should be placed at the same important position as scientific and technological innovation,” China Energy has made vigorous efforts to promote science popularization, cultivate science education bases, encourage creation of science books, and organize a series of activities popularizing knowledge about power and energy. Fruitful results have been achieved, helping shape the group’s image as a top-notch science and technology company.
