Zhuhai Port Hits a New High in Weekly Train Loading Efficiency in 2021

In the week from August 30 to September 5, Zhuhai Port’s freight train loading efficiency reached 1,360 tons per hour, 232 tons per hour higher than that of the previous week, hitting a new high this year.

With the official operation of the “sea-railway combined coal transport” channel, the company has taken a series of measures to enhance its freight train loading efficiency and maximize its transport capacity. First, production teams and the railway company have collaborated closely with each other and formulated loading plans in advance to avoid peak times. They also adjusted transport modes to meet the demand of different types of coal, ensuring high-efficiency coal loading. Second, the company changed the previous coal reclaiming method to reduce the time needed for stacking and de-stacking, thus ensuring the high efficiency of coal reclaiming. Third, upon consultation with the railway company, it has formulated a fixed schedule for equipment maintenance and repair, so as to reduce the time wasted for waiting, enable the equipment to operate normally, and ensure highly coordinated and efficient operations.
