Hefeng Power Plant Maintains Safe Production for 3,000 Days

As of September 26, Xinjiang-based Hefeng Power Plant of Shenhua Guoneng Group Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Energy, had maintained safe production for 3,000 straight days. The long-term safe production laid a solid foundation for the power plant to achieve better economic returns and higher-level management.

For a long time, Hefeng Power Plant has stuck to the decisions and deployments made by China Energy and promoted safe production through strict, careful and pragmatic measures. Keeping safe development in mind, it has strengthened safety education among its employees to increase their safety awareness, paid full attention to safe production and set up a “red line” for safety. The power plant strictly implements “four-level control” of safe production, with focus on the leadership responsibility system, the post information system, and the WeChat group supervision system for production, ensuring that every link of production, every post and every employee take their due responsibility for production safety. Moreover, through organizing activities such as safety knowledge competitions and comprehensive examinations, it has improved its employees’ safety awareness and self-protection capacity.

To strengthen its safety management and enhance its capacity in safe production, the power plant has constantly promoted the construction of its safety management system and seamlessly integrated safety environmental protection evaluation standards with the information system to ensure safety awareness is in the mind of every employee. Through measures such as conducting risk monitoring and precaution, introducing full-process employee personal safety control app, and implementing strict safety management among contracted production teams, it remains committed to promoting pre-operation risk identification and assessment and enhancing safety risk precaution and control capacity. Since the beginning of this year, the power plant has carried out such activities as production safety inspection, flood and wind emergency prevention exercises, industrial accident warning education, risk screening for operations in limited spaces, facility malpractice countering campaign, and centralized safety control for high-risk operations. These activities have helped find out safety risks, standardize operators’ behaviors and enhance all employees’ emergency response capacity and safety awareness, thus further improving the power plant’s capacity in production safety management.
