Daduhe’s Rock-fill Dam Safety Risk Monitoring and Precaution Technology Wins First Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress

The 200-meter-tall rock-fill dam safety risk monitoring and precaution technology developed by Daduhe Hydropower Development Co., Ltd. under China Energy won first prize at the Second Safety Science and Technology Progress Awards launched by China Association of Work Safety on August 23.

Based on its river dam safety control center and geological disaster prediction and precaution center, the company has used this technology to solve problems such as slow data collection, low-level automation, inefficient review of abnormal data, and difficult risk control concerning the 200-meter-tall rock-fill dam of the Pubugou hydropower station. Since the technology was put into use, it has obtained more than 50 intellectual property rights. Specialized workshops on the technology have been held at many several hydropower seminars, and relevant research results have been identified by CAS academicians and experts as world class. So far, the technology has been widely applied in several large and medium-sized hydroelectric projects on the Dadu River, significantly enhancing their engineering safety risk control capacity.
