Recently, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of China unveiled winners of the 14th Chinese Skills Awards and the National Technical Experts. China Energy Group’s subsidiaries and employees won several prizes. For instance, maintenance electrician Liu Zhanying from Shendong Coal Group and catenary worker Zhang Lei from Shuohuang Railway were titled “National Technical Experts,” Inner Mongolia Pingzhuang Coal Group Ltd. won the title of “National Unit with Outstanding Contributions in Technical Personnel Training,” and Dou Yanlin from Guohua Energy Investment Co., Ltd. was awarded the title of “National Advanced Individual in Technical Personnel Training.”
The Chinese Skills Awards and the National Technical Experts, launched in 1995, are the highest governmental prizes for technical personnel in China. The biennial event aims to honor and publicize outstanding representatives of Chinese industrial workers and grant prizes for excellent technicians who make remarkable contributions to China’s high-quality economic development.
