China Energy Projects Win National Science and Technology Progress Award Prizes

At the National Science and Technology Award Conference held in Beijing on January 8, “technological R&D and large-scale engineering application of efficient low-speed wind turbines” and other four projects accomplished by China Energy Group in such fields as coal, hydropower and wind power won second prizes of National Science and Technology Progress Award.

The five award-winning projects are: “technological R&D and large-scale engineering application of efficient low-speed wind turbines” with Guodian Technology & Environment Group and  Qingdao Dadishenhua Fiat Powertrain Technologies Co., Ltd. teaming up as the primary project operators, “key technology of 300m super high arch dam safety control and its engineering application” undertaken by Dadu River Hydropower Development Co., Ltd., “packaged technology and equipment for high-recovery mining with flexible composite materials safety support at coal mines” jointly completed by Shenhua Shendong Coal Group and Shenhua Ningxia Coal Industry Group, and “key technology and application of efficient dry beneficiation of coal” and “key geological technology and application of coordinated prospecting and development of coal and coal-bed gas in Northwest China” in which Shenxin Energy Company played a role.

Recent years have witnessed China Energy’s great efforts to promote scientific and technological innovation by focusing on the development of clean, low-carbon, safe and efficient modern energy, pooling together technological resources and forces, accelerating research and development of key technologies and establishing consulting agencies for high-level decision makers and forging a complete R&D, application and marketing system that involves professional research institutes, technological enterprises, specialized R&D firms and factories and coal mines. So far, the group company has received 39 state-class sci-tech awards alongside five China Patent Gold Awards.
