First China Energy Innovation and Creativity Competition Completed

Innovation is not just the soul fueling the progress of a nation, but provides dynamic impetus to the prosperity of a nation and even a company. After more than two months of contest, the first China Energy Innovation and Creativity Competition wound up recently. Through preliminary, intermediary and final rounds, employees of the group showcased their achievements in technological innovation and conducted exchanges.

The first China Energy Innovation and Creativity Competition is an important move aimed at implementing the spirit of the first China Energy Science and Technology Conference and exhibiting technological innovation achievements of its staffers. A total of 114 items recommended by 43 subsidiaries were entered in the competition, 10 of which were shortlisted into the final round. After strict assessment on the basis of four criteria, namely innovation and creativity, technical level, application value and release effect, the finalists won first, second and third prizes, respectively. During the competition, technological innovation fruits in various fields wowed the audience as the wisdom of China Energy employees glowed on the stage.

China Energy Group always attaches importance to technological breakthroughs, with new technological achievements made one after another. In 2018, it received four Second Prizes of National Science and Technology Progress Award and 87 various science and technology awards at provincial and ministerial levels, more than any other central state-owned enterprise. It also won a China Patent Gold Award and two China Patent Excellence Awards, registering a record high. So far, the corporation has received three First Prizes of National Science and Technology Progress Award, 28 Second Prizes of National Science and Technology Progress Award, one Second Prize of State Technological Invention Award and five China Patent Gold Awards.
