On February 14, the Jiangxi Branch of China Longyuan Power Group under China Energy Investment Corporation successfully completed the filing of its 150 MW forestry-solar complementary power generation project in Baitian Township, Guixi City, Jiangxi Province.
The project covers about 213 hectares of forest land, with sufficient sunshine and abundant solar energy resources, boasting good prospects for photovoltaic development. After the project is completed and put into operation, it can provide 207.49 million kilowatt-hours of clean electricity a year and achieve an annual equivalent power generation of 1,107 hours. Compared with thermal power plants with the same generation capacity, it can save standard coal by around 64,500 tons, reduce sulfur dioxide emissions by 1,666.14 tons and decrease wastewater discharge by 597,500 tons every year, which will deliver economic, social and environmental benefits.
