China Energy Attends the 3rd CIIE

The 3rd China International Import Expo (CIIE) kicked off in Shanghai on November 4. Chinese President Xi Jinping delivered a keynote speech via video link at its opening ceremony, announcing new measures for expanding all-round opening up and injecting strong momentum into global economic recovery and development. Liu Guoyue, CEO of China Energy, attended the opening ceremony of the 3rd CIIE.

Liu Guoyue, CEO of China Energy, attended the opening ceremony of the 3rd CIIE.

Before the contract signing ceremony, Wang held talks with Italian Consul-General in Shanghai Michele Cecchi and Consul Maria Ludovica Murazzani. The two sides conducted in-depth discussions on cooperation between Chinese and Italian enterprises, and expressed hope for lasting bilateral friendship as China and Italy are celebrating the 50th anniversary of the establishment of their diplomatic ties.

The China-Europe CEO Summit was held on the sidelines of the 3rd CIIE at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai on November 6. The conference released the Initiative of Chinese and European CEOs on Supporting China-Europe Trade and Investment Cooperation. Cai Anhui, CFO of China Energy, attended the event on behalf of the company.

During the 3rd CIIE, the purchase and transaction sub-delegations of China Energy respectively visited relevant pavilions. Teams respectively headed by Gao Song and Cai Anhui, both senior executives of China Energy, visited the Intelligent Industry & Information Technology and Trade in Services exhibition areas to learn about the latest products, technologies and services on display. Through communicating with exhibitors, they gained more insight into the global trends of scientific and technological development in fields like hydrogen energy, mining machinery, and power equipment. They also conducted direct dialogues with leading suppliers of imported equipment and services present at the CIIE, with an aim to find new opportunities for open, inclusive and mutually beneficial development through industrial cooperation and market alignment.

The 3rd CIIE, co-hosted by the Ministry of Commerce and the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government, was China’s biggest exhibition event with the largest number of participating countries that integrated online and offline platforms under regular epidemic prevention and control. The event was held from November 4 to 10 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai, and consisted of six exhibition areas for Food & Agricultural Products, Automobile, Intelligent Industry & Information Technology, Consumer Goods, Medical Equipment & Healthcare Products, and Trade in Services, respectively. The total exhibition areas surpassed that of the 2019 CIIE.
