Large-scale Wind-solar Complementary Hydrogen Production Key Technology Research and Demonstration Project Launched

Recently, as part of a national key R&D program, the large-scale wind-solar complementary hydrogen production key technology research and demonstration project headed by China Energy was officially approved by the High-Tech Research and Development Center of the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology, marking the launch of the project.

This project is an applied technology R&D project under the key national research program of “Renewable Energy and Hydrogen Energy Technology,” and focuses on the research and demonstration of key technologies of wind-solar complementary hydrogen production to meet the demand of the Beijing Winter Olympics for green, low-carbon energy. It aims to build a world-leading integrated demonstration project for large-scale wind-solar interconnected hydrogen production, storage, transmission and utilization, so as to serve the Zhangjiakou competition area of the Beijing Winter Olympics.

China Energy has long been committed to the development of low-carbon, clean energy technology. The results of the project will help China fill in the blank in MW-level integrated operation and demonstration project for large-scale wind-solar interconnected hydrogen production, storage, transmission and utilization and facilitate the supply of eco-friendly hydrogen energy for the Zhangjiakou competition area of the Beijing Winter Olympics. Moreover, it will forge a complete technical system related to wind-solar interconnected hydrogen production, ranging from system optimization and integration, key equipment design and manufacturing, all-process integrated monitoring and safety control to full-chain operation. It will also help foster a professional team, explore business mode for large-scale renewable hydrogen energy production and formulate relevant standards, thus accelerating the healthy development of China’s renewable energy and hydrogen energy industry and laying a solid foundation for China’s energy restructuring.
