Finance.sina.com.cn unveiled China ESG Golden Awards 2021 on December 3. China Shenhua won the best environmental performance award.
Selection for the awards was launched on September 17. The best environmental performance award recognizes companies which stand out in fulfilling corporate environmental responsibilities, and is set to encourage more companies to pay more attention to and put ESG principles into action. The awardees were selected after rounds of evaluation on candidates’ ESG performance, online voting and expert review over three months.
China Shenhua has been valuing environmental protection and devoting great energy to developing clean, safe and highly-efficient energy. It put all-out efforts to advance the building of green mines, realize ultra-low emissions by its coal-fired power generation units, and constantly enhance management and control of carbon emissions. With its marked achievements in fighting pollution, it made positive contributions to achieving the targets of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality.
