24 Coal Mines of China Energy Named on the National List of Green Mines

Recently, the Ministry of Natural Resources released the national list of 953 green coal mines. A total of 24 mining enterprises under China Energy were named.

Adhering to the principle of environmental protection, China Energy insisted on striking a balance between reform and development and environmental friendliness. The coal mines of the group have blazed an independent and innovative path of green mine construction by accurately measuring and archiving the original ecological features before mining, improving the environment during mining, and carrying out evaluation and summary after mining. Breakthroughs have been made in green safety, intelligent mining, high-end equipment research and development, underground water reservoir, integrated underground mining and transportation, and other key technologies.

It is reported that China began to plan and deploy green mine construction in 2008. Thanks to the joint efforts of administrative departments at all levels and the mining enterprises, China’s green mine construction has progressed from pilot exploration to comprehensive promotion, and a number of replicable and promotable new models of resource-based green development and industry-based green development have formed, propelling the transformation of China’s mining industry from extensive to intensive and efficient operations.
