Liu Guoyue Inspects Baoding Subsidiary and Attends ‘30·60’ New Era of Energy and Electricity Innovation and Development Conference

On December 18-19, Liu Guoyue, CEO of China Energy Investment Corporation, inspected Baoding branch of the United Power Company of Guodian Technology & Environment Group Co., Ltd. and attended the “30·60” New Era of Energy and Electricity Innovation and Development Conference, which was jointly organized by North China Electric Power University and the Municipal CPC Committee of Baoding.

At the Baoding plant of the United Power Company of Guodian Technology & Environment Group, Liu Guoyue inspected the workshops to learn more about the production process of wind turbines, capacity improvement, and intelligent development, and listened to a report from the company. Liu affirmed the efforts of the United Power Company in implementing the work plans of China Energy for 2020. By actively carrying out the “100-day campaign” and overcoming various difficulties, he said, the company successfully accomplished the task of ensuring power supply, making an outstanding contribution to the launch of China Energy’s “5 million+” wind power project and the completion of the annual target.

Liu Guoyue encouraged the United Power Company to continue to forge ahead and strive to become a globally leading wind turbine manufacturer and whole life cycle service provider. He also made the following requirements: First, the company should resolutely implement the decision and arrangement of the CPC Central Committee to strive for the goal of hitting peak CO2 emissions before 2030 and achieving carbon neutrality before 2060, strengthen studies on wind power development laws and development trends of the industry, make more breakthroughs in core technologies, and become a vanguard in the implementation of the national new energy strategy. Second, to meet the development needs of China Energy’s new energy segment, the company should adhere to innovation-driven development, conduct customized research and development, carry out standardized intelligent manufacturing, and strive to become a main force to support the high-quality development of the group company’s wind power business. Third, efforts should also be made to deepen market-oriented reform, implement the three-year action plan on the reform of state-owned enterprises, improve the innovation system and mechanism to achieve transformation and upgrading, forge a world-class brand, and build the company into a forerunner in the industry to achieve high-quality sustainable development.
