Zhejiang Beilun Power Plant’s Desulfurization Wastewater Treatment Facility Upgrade Project Completes Trial Operation

The desulfurization wastewater treatment facility upgrade project of Beilun Power Plant of China Energy’s Zhejiang branch completed the “168” trial operation on June 1, marking the success of the project.

Desulfurization wastewater refers to water discharged by absorption towers after wet flue gas desulfurization. The power plant invested 65 million yuan to upgrade its desulfurization wastewater treatment facility. After the completion of the upgrade project, its desulfurization wastewater treatment capacity will reach 100 tons per hour. Furthermore, not only can all generation units achieve zero desulfurization wastewater emission, but also the sodium hypochlorite solution generated in terminals can be used in the recycled water chloration system, thus achieving 100% recycled use of resources.

Moreover, the project has applied for three national invention patents, including “A New Type of Automatic Sodium Carbonate Powder Adding System,” “A Type of High-Efficiency and Energy-Saving Desulfurization Wastewater Thickening Treatment Facility” and “A Type of Desulfurization Wastewater System and Method,” as well as a patent for utility model “A Type of Desulfurization Wastewater Recycling Treatment System.”
