Recently, the demand for coal and electricity is surging in some areas due to cold waves. China Energy required its enterprises to make all-out efforts to guarantee people’s livelihood by ensuring the supply of coal and electricity, so as to play the role of a centrally-administered energy enterprise as an anchor in safeguarding people’s well-being and coping with major challenges.

To address the challenge, the group company has arranged coal miners to increase the production of self-produced coal, optimize and adjust the variety structure, increase the production of coal for power generation and the procurement of coal from external sources, facilitate coordination of railroad, shipping, and port transport agencies, increase the use of anti-freezing vehicles, ensure shipping capacity, improve loading efficiency, and minimize berthing time in the port, so as to guarantee smooth transportation to meet the demand for coal supply, especially in the northern regions. At the same time, efforts were also made to fully implement the measures proposed by the National Development and Reform Commission for ensuring supply and stabilizing prices, complete the signing of the medium and long-term coal contracts for 2021, and stabilize market expectations and coal prices.

All the power generation enterprises under China Energy have actively cooperated with the power grid dispatching to ensure smooth and orderly supply of electricity. Enterprises tasked for heat supply endeavored to ensure stable operation of the generators as well as steady and reliable coal supply. The companies worked hard to strengthen monitoring of safe production and environmental protection to ensure ultra-low emissions, strengthen hidden danger investigation and risk control, and make sure power is supplied in a safe, stable and clean manner.
