Baoshen Railway Group Hits New High in Non-coal Transportation Volume in November

In November, Baoshen Railway Group, a subsidiary of China Energy, completed non-coal transportation of 628,800 tons, 118,800 tons more than planned, and delivered 13,850 TEUs, setting a new monthly record in its history of non-coal cargo and container transportation.

With the arrival of the heating season in November, all major power plants in coastal areas began to store coal for winter. Considering the surging demand for coal transportation, Baoshen Railway Group adjusted its operational roadmap to ensure non-coal transportation volume isn’t reduced. It also took active action to communicate with upstream and downstream clients, in order to avoid reduction in cargo freight. It strengthened communication and coordination with China Energy’s general scheduling department to rationally arrange operations for non-coal heavy-haul trains. Moreover, it closely monitored the shipment and transfer of containers via railways and cut the time needed for containers to be transported from railway stations to ports. Those measures helped it maintain stability of clients and cargo transport demands. Through collaborating with other railway companies, Baoshen Railway overcame the problem of a shortage of transport capacity, met the non-coal freight needs of its clients, and surpassed its preset non-coal transportation target.
