All Units of China Energy Make Efforts to Ensure Safe Production During the ‘Two Sessions’

To ensure safe production and supply during the “two sessions,” China Energy’s coal, electricity, chemical and other related departments made special arrangements to enhance production safety, environmental protection, electricity and heat supply, and cyberspace security in the corresponding sectors under their jurisdiction.

Shendong Coal strengthened site management and focused on weak links. It carried out an all-round, system-wide and full-process safety inspection of all of its mines according to the 221 criteria for underground coal mines and 165 criteria for open-pit mines.

Jiangsu Branch of China Energy was among the first to start the preparatory work. It held a special meeting to coordinate its resources to ensure power supply, requiring its units to make sure that no general and above equipment accidents and no network security incidents would occur.

Guangdong Branch of China Energy conducted in-depth safety inspection to identify hidden dangers and eliminate defects. It also carried out drills in response to fire, network security, and other emergencies to make sure that emergencies are addressed in an orderly, quick manner.

Xinshuo Railway conducted in-depth production safety inspection in terms of hazard identification, occupational health hazards, high-risk workplace management, standardized work process implementation, employees’ unsafe behavior control, and emergency response capabilities to ensure equipment security.

Xinjiang Branch of China Energy broke down tasks and responsibilities at all levels, increased the number of inspection patrol, rationalized the arrangement of start-ups and electricity loads of generating units at power plants, conducted in-depth inspections of major hazard sources and hydraulic buildings, optimized production organization and coordination, and worked to create a harmonious and stable work environment.

Focusing on solving safety risks and hidden navigational dangers, the shipping arm of China Energy made efforts to rectify driving violations, improve repair and maintenance skills for key equipment, and make sure that rectification measures, responsibilities, funds, time limits and plans for addressing hidden dangers found in the inspection would be put in place.

The North China Branch organized a group of experts to inspect and supervise production safety at key power providers, who found a total of 63 problems to rectify. This endeavor greatly enhanced production safety of the enterprises.

Focusing on strengthening coordination and collaboration among all links of coal supply, the coal business arm of China Energy made every effort to accurately match resources and optimize distribution flows to meet customers’ demand for thermal coal.

Longyuan Power conducted inspection for safety hazards and formulated special work plans for implementing all-round, whole-process safety management and control on production and engineering projects, in an attempt to ensure continuous stability of safe production.
