CCTV’s ‘Xinwen Lianbo’ Praises Shendong Coal

On the evening of February 15, CCTV’s flagship newscast “Xinwen Lianbo” covered Shendong Coal Group, a subsidiary of China Energy Investment Corporation, maintaining production during the Spring Festival holiday. The national broadcaster gave a thumbs-up to China Energy employees who struck to their posts to ensure coal supply.

The news report focused on many workers remaining at their posts in various sectors during the Spring Festival holiday to ensure a happy life for the people. Among them were employees of China Energy, who worked hard to guarantee coal supply during the holiday.

“Coal miners of the new era are noted for their enterprising and brave spirit,” said Zhao Chunguang, head of the Second Combined Mining Team at Bu’ertai Coal Mine of Shendong Coal Group. “We are sticking to our posts to ensure heating supply for Chinese people during the Spring Festival.”

During the Spring Festival period, 71 coal mines under China Energy maintained production, with over 50,000 miners tenaciously working on the frontlines. Employees from the power, transportation and chemical production lines of China Energy also stayed at their posts during the holiday to guarantee stable energy supply.
