The two-day 8th Annual Management Forum of China & the 2021 annual conference of Harvard Business Review was held in Beijing from November 2 to 3. The event unveiled the list of winners of the 2021 Ram Charan Management Practice Awards via video link.
The National Institute of Clean-and-Low-Carbon Energy (NICE) under China Energy made itself a leader in both low-carbon clean energy technological innovation and management innovation for its “original innovation in ecological progress and low-carbon technology,” for which it stood out from nearly 300 practice cases and won the outstanding prize of the 2021 Ram Charan Management Practice Awards.
The Ram Charan Management Practice Awards aims to commend enterprises with innovative management practices that can be used as references in China, build a platform to spread management experiences, and joins hands with all sectors of society to boost enterprises’ development and push forward progress and reform of management practices.
NICE adopts a demand-oriented low-carbon technology development strategy and clarifies its innovation goals. Leveraging people-centered innovation culture and result-oriented incentive mechanisms, the institute has stimulated its innovation vitality. Moreover, it has enhanced its innovation efficiency through phased, targeted management measures and advanced methodology, not only making great contributions to realizing China’s goals of “peaking carbon emissions by 2030 and achieving carbon neutrality by 2060” but also providing useful references for management practices of the country’s original innovation.
