China Energy Participates in Coal Chemical Industry Conference & Expo

The 10th China International Coal Chemical Industry Conference & Expo was held at Beijing International Convention Center from October 18 to 19. As a representative of the chemical industry, China Energy was invited to participate in the event.

The booth of China Energy mainly features a coal-to-liquid (CTL) project sandtable, PGA new materials, and the CCS project, which showcased the corporation’s development strategy to promote technological innovation in the development of coal-based special fuels and biodegradable materials and push forward high-end, diversified, and low-carbon development of the coal chemical industry. The world’s first 1 million-ton CTL technology developed by China Energy can achieve clean, efficient transformation of coal resources and has strategic significance for national defense and security. The coal-based biodegradable materials on display can be used in medical care, food, disposable plastic products, and other areas, and have been awarded the EU industrial compostability mark and the EU marine-degradable certificate. China Energy also boasts Asia’s first 100,000-ton CCS project, which has so far injected 302,600 tons of carbon dioxide and provides an effective technical roadmap for China’s large-scale carbon emissions reduction.

The event attracted more than 500 experts and entrepreneurs from the industry, who gave proposals on how to accelerate the transformation and upgrade of the coal chemical industry and promote clean, low-carbon and high-quality development of the industry against the backdrop that China vows to peak carbon emissions by 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality by 2060.
