Guoshen’s Largest Single New Energy Project Approved

Fugu Power Plant obtained the right to develop a 600,000 KW wind and photovoltaic project, the largest approved single new energy project of Guoshen Co., Ltd. under China Energy, on October 20, according to Shaanxi Provincial Energy Administration.

Since the beginning of this year, Guoshen has taken the National Development and Reform Commission’s call for building large-scale photovoltaic and wind power projects in desert areas as an opportunity, and relied on the existing 500KV coal-fired electricity transmission channel from Shenfu to Hebei South Grid and flexible transformation of generation units to apply for launching new energy projects.

In the early period of the project, the company streamlined the project development workflow to seek breakthroughs. By fully leveraging its regional advantage, analyzing the distribution of regional resources, and conducting in-depth research of the plan for absorbing new energy by the electricity transmission channel from Shenfu to Hebei South Grid, it relies on the existing 2.52 GW coal-fired generation units and 500KV transmission network and conducts flexible transformation of generation units to enhance their peak adjustment capacity and reduce their operating hours while promoting new energy outbound transmission. Moreover, it takes advantage of the land resources of coal mines and the “photovoltaic + green mine ecological restoration” plan to push forward integrated development of “agriculture + photovoltaic” projects, “animal husbandry + photovoltaic” projects, and tourism projects, and achieve the integrated construction of existing wind, photovoltaic and coal-fired power projects.
