Shuohuang Railway Wins First Prize for Industrial Enterprise Management Innovation

The AI-based railway electrical affairs state-oriented repair management system, developed by Shuohuang Railway Co., Ltd. under China Energy, was awarded the first prize at the second China Industrial Enterprise Management Innovation Conference jointly hosted by China Industry News and the Working Committee for Innovation under China International Association for Promotion of Science and Technology (CIAPST) in Suzhou on October 16.

In recent years, Shuohuang Railway has encouraged all employees to be engaged in technological innovation and invention concerning railway equipment maintenance and management. The award-winning system was credited to years of technical endeavor of its invention team to seek more targeted and scientific “state-oriented” repair and testing methods. It breaks the traditional periodic or planned repair mode, and explores the way to automatically make repair decisions according to the health conditions of railway equipment. Through combining AI and professional management, the system enables a transition from “periodic repair” to “state-oriented repair,” thus significantly improving work efficiency, optimizing repair workflow, and reducing costs while enhancing safety. It also effectively avoids both “excessive repair” and “insufficient repair” as well as waste of testing expenditures.
