China Electric Power Construction Association on May 13 announced results of the 2021 China Electric Power Quality Engineering Award. China Energy’s Suqian Branch in Jiangsu Province was among the winners for its 2×660MW unit project. The China Electric Power Quality Engineering Award, the highest honor for engineering quality in China’s electric power construction industry, is awarded annually to projects whose construction quality represents the advanced level in the industry in China.

From the start of construction to its completion, the project used 17 national key energy-saving technologies, 21 technologies in eight of the 10 major categories of new technologies in the construction industry, and 55 new technologies in electric power construction, obtained five invention patents and 32 utility model patents, and received 10 Science and Technology Progress Awards at provincial and ministerial levels, one Work Method award at provincial and ministerial levels, 14 quality control (QC) achievement awards, a First Prize of Excellent Engineering Design Award in the Power Industry, and a Special Prize from China Energy Award Fund.
