GD Power to Launch Fishery-PV Complementary Project in Fujian

GD Power Fujian New Energy Development Co., Ltd. signed a framework agreement on May 5 to invest in and develop a 100MW photovoltaic project in Fujian, the first PV project signed by the company in the southeastern Chinese province.

Covering an area of nearly 670,000 square meters, the project is located in Langqi Town of Mawei District, Fuzhou, capital of Fujian Province, where the abundant sunshine and other favorable climate and geographical advantages offer promising development potential. With a planned total installed capacity of 100MW, the project is expected to generate about 110 million kWh of electricity annually and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 109,700 tons after it is put into service. Now that the agreement is a reality, the company is working to leverage favorable policies for the photovoltaic industry and make early preparations in light of local agricultural and fishery development plans to build a benchmark fishery-PV complementary project in Fujian. It aims to put the project into operation this year to help China Energy achieve its new energy development goals of the year.
