Railway Equipment Completes the Annual Tamping Task ahead of Schedule

As of October 12, Railway Equipment Company under China Energy had completed 3681.436 kilometers of railway line mechanical tamping for the year, fulfilling 102.12 percent of the annual tasks 80 days ahead of schedule.

Since the beginning of this year, Railway Equipment, upholding the mission of strengthening the foundation for the group’s railways and focusing on the annual production targets, has made overall plans for safe production and taken multiple measures to ensure smooth and efficient operations. First, the company has optimized mechanical layout to improve utilization efficiency of equipment, fully release their efficacy, reduce the waiting time for operation, and in turn enhance equipment utilization further. Second, the company has worked to improve the efficiency and quality of operation for each car, while experimenting with innovative approaches to production performance management by strengthening the awareness of cost control and operation income, elevating the performance extraction coefficient of non-skylight operation, and improving operation efficiency through lean management. Third, the company has kept a close eye on transport means to coordinate for non-skylight operation time windows by making use of the spare periods of Huanghua Port, Suning North, Shenchi South, Fugu and other stations. Totally, Railway Equipment has finished 117 temporary key operations, and completed the mechanical tamping operation of 658.719 kilometers, accounting for 17.89 percent of the total tasks, creating favorable conditions for completing annual tasks ahead of schedule.

While fully meeting the railway operation needs of the group, Railway Equipment strives to expand the external market for improving the utilization rate of equipment and creating more economic benefits, and actively cooperates with enterprises that have railway connections with the group by successively undertaking railway line maintenance projects through spare periods of equipment for Dongsheng-Wuhai Railway, Handan-Huanghuagang Railway, Yinhuo Railway and Shandong High-speed Rail Transit Group. The company has completed the mechanical tamping task of railway lines for 341.986 kilometers, both generating revenues and enhancing efficiency.
