Huangyangcheng Station of Baotou-Shenmu Railway Opens a New Channel for Non-Coal Cargo Transport

On October 10, Train XM6058 carrying 3,472 tons of semi coke headed to Cangzhou, Hebei Province, from Huangyangcheng Station on Baotou-Shenmu Railway under China Energy. The successful first non-coal cargo delivery shipped from Huangyangcheng Station marked the opening of a new channel for non-coal cargo transport.

Consisting of 66 containers, the train departed from Huangyangcheng Station on the Shenmu-Shuozhou line and traveled along the Shuozhou-Huanghua line, passing through related stations on Cangzhou-Huanghua Harbor Railway, Dongdagu, and Huanghua-Dajiawa Railway, before finally reaching Litianmu Station in Cangxian County, Hebei.

The smooth operation of the first train for semi coke transport is a concrete practice of China Energy to respond to China’s “road to rail” policy and realize the goal of “peaking carbon dioxide emissions and achieving carbon neutrality”. It is also a major breakthrough for the corporation to transform into diversified transportation means, in a bid to fill the blank of non-coal transport for Huangyangcheng Station, further enhance the comprehensive transportation competitiveness of Huangyangcheng Station, and provide effective drivers for the enterprise to expand the coverage of surrounding coal sources, broaden transit channels and enhance its outbound transport capacity.
