China Energy Business Outlook Conference 2020 Convened

On December 3, China Energy held a business outlook conference in Beijing, reviewing is performance in 2019, analyzing the overall situation and development trends in the industry, and making plans for its work in 2020. Chairman Wang Xiangxi presided over the meeting. CEO Liu Guoyue delivered a speech. Gao Song, Mi Shuhua and Wang Shumin put forward suggestions for next year’s work under their supervision, respectively. Wang Xiangxi affirmed the excellent achievements made by the company on all fronts in 2019, analyzed the situation and tasks for 2020 in terms of production and operation, transformation and upgrading, safety and environmental protection, deepening reform, and scientific and technological innovation, and put forward thoughts and requirements for the work in next step. The macro situation and external environment facing China Energy in 2020 are severe and complicated, he noted, but the company should be fully aware of the opportunities brought by China’s economic growth and national policies, as well as the company’s own advantages, so as to boost confidence in a brighter future. The chairman set the 2020 goal for the company to remain the industry leader by further increasing efficiency through enhanced collaboration, reducing costs, and generating greater profits. He also required to accelerate transformation and upgrading, ensure safety, environmental friendliness and stability, further deepen reform, and vigorously promote scientific and technological innovation.

Liu Guoyue remarked in his speech that to achieve the 2020 goals, the company should adhere to a problem-oriented approach, green development pattern and the direction of marketization while seizing strategic opportunities. He asked all subsidiaries and departments under the group to unite as one and make greater contributions to building a world-class energy conglomerate with global competitiveness.
