China Energy Makes Initial Progress in Coal Reserve Capacity Building

China Energy has vigorously advanced the building of coal reserve capacity, with its capacity in coal storage constantly enhanced. The main part of the No.6 stockyard expansion project, Phase I of the Zhuhai Gaolan Port Coal Storage and Transport Center, has been basically completed, and the Coal Reserve Project of the Coal-Electricity Integration No.1 and No.2 Wharfs in Beihai City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, have accomplished approval, land acquisition and environmental assessment procedures, which is estimated to start construction in August. Construction of coal reserve projects in key ports, railway stations and power plants such as Wansheng Port in Chongqing, Luoyuanwan Port in Fujian Province, and Chiheng Supervision Area in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region are also underway.

China Energy will recently release some coal resources under its reserve to meet the surging demand for coal by power plants in summertime. Next, it will earnestly follow the requirements of the National Development and Reform Commission and the National Energy Administration on energy supply, give full play to its coal reserve capacity, and do everything to ensure energy supply during the peak season of summer and for the celebration of the Party’s centenary.
