On June 7, a panel consisting of experts from the Dam Safety Supervision Center of China’s National Energy Administration, the Land Satellite Remote Sensing Application Center of the Ministry of Natural Resources, and China Aero Geophysical Survey & Remote Sensing Center of Land and Resource carried out on-site investigation on the pilot project of satellite remote sensing application for hydropower dam safety in the Dadu River basin. After in-depth understanding of the yellow lawn deformation at Dagangshan Hydropower Station and its reservoir area, the Zhangcungou mudslide disaster site at Zhentouba Hydropower Station, and the gravel core rockfill dam at Pubugou Hydropower Station of the Daduhe Hydropower Development Co., Ltd. under China Energy, the panel listed Daduhe Company among the first group of China’s pilots for hydropower dam safety satellite remote sensing application, and decided to collaborate with the company on the application of BeiDou satellite remote sensing technology.
The company will seize this opportunity to further ensure safe and stable power generation at its hydropower plants in the Dadu River basin by expanding application scenarios of BeiDou satellite remote sensing technology and improving geological disaster monitoring and early warning technologies and methods for dam and reservoir banks.
