10,000-ton Driverless Train Mileage Exceeds 300,000km on Baoshen Railway

As of 18:00 on April 13, the accumulated operating mileage of China Energy’s 10,000-ton intelligent train running along the Baoshen Railway exceeded 300,000 kilometers, reaching 30,012,000 kilometers, in 1,342 safe trips.

Over the past year and a half since China’s first automatically driven “3+0” 10,000-ton heavy-duty train officially started running along the Shenmu-Shuozhou line of the Baoshang Railway on October 16, 2019, China Energy has optimized and upgraded its intelligent driving software 13 times, equipped the train with 130 new functions, and offered feedback solutions to 302 operational problems. These efforts have effectively ensured the best functionality, safety, and stability of the driverless locomotive and addressed difficulties such as numerous bridges and tunnels, plenty of long slopes, and small curve radius along the line.
