Jiangxi Branch’s 350MV Photovoltaic Projects Begin Operation

By December 31, 2021, after the four photovoltaic projects with capacity totaling 350MV in Jiangbu, Daxi and other places in Yugan County, Jiangxi Province, successfully began operation and the three newly built photovoltaic projects including the one in Quhonghu, China Energy Jiangxi Co., Ltd. had built photovoltaic projects totaling 870MV in 2021. With projects under the “Doubling Program” put into operation one after another, the company has entered the fast lane of new energy development for the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-2025).

To accelerate the development of new energy, the Jiangxi branch of China Energy has adopted a goal-oriented and problem-based strategy that features “overall leadership by the headquarters, operations by power stations, and construction by new energy companies.” It has also strengthened the working mechanism characterized by “monthly planning, weekly scheduling, and daily review” to facilitate the implementation of projects. In addition, the company has strengthened the incentive mechanism, revised and improved relevant investment management systems, and introduced specific assessment and rewarding methods, thus unleashing vitality through institutional arrangements. The management team takes the core responsibility, and all employees are mobilized to pool as many resources as possible. The company has signed strategic cooperation agreements with cities and counties including Jiujiang and Jingdezhen, and established partnerships with enterprises such as PowerChina Jiangxi Electric Power Engineering Co., Ltd. and Jinko Power. Despite challenges such as the COVID-19 epidemic, the company conducted a resource screening in nearly 100 cities and counties across Jiangxi Province, put projects totaling 5,420MV under standardized management, and earned permission to build new projects totaling 1,370MV. This enables it to realize a good start in new energy development and lay a solid foundation for transformation in the 14th Five-Year Plan period.
