Xiangjiaba hydropower plant, owned and operated by China Three Gorges Corporation (CTG), lifted the rotor of its No. 5 power unit out of the pit on the morning of November 23, marking the smooth completion of the first step in maintaining the world's first 800 MW hydraulic generator.
The 140-day Level-A maintenance project for the No. 5 power unit includes over 220 regular Level-A procedures and more than 30 non-standard technical modifications.
