China Three Gorges Corporation (CTG) announced that it has installed stator for its NO.6 generator in Changlongshan pumped storage power plant in Zhejiang Province on January 19, completing installation of all the stators for its 6 power units and achieving the first key milestone in 2022 on schedule.
The stator installation is a major part of the installation of the pumped storage units. Starting from September 26, 2020 to the installation for the NO.6 power unit, the whole process took 15 months.
Located in Anji, Zhejiang, the Changlongshan station has a total of 6 units of 350-MW reversible pump turbines. It ranks first in the world in terms of design parameters and overall design and manufacturing difficulty.
