CTG starts research on massive floating photovoltaic power station

China Three Gorges New Energy, the new energy arm of China Three Gorges Corporation (CTG), has launched research on massive floating photovoltaic power station, the company announced at an event in Nanjing of Jiangsu province.

The research project will provide inputs on the 150MW floating photovoltaic power plant being built in Huainan, Anhui, (Huainan Project), which was included in CTG’s scientific and technological innovation program in 2019.

Huainan Project has put into operation a floating research monitoring platform. Part of the research findings have been applied in the project, filling the technical gap for the group in the floating photovoltaic space and providing reliable scientific information and data support for construction, operation and maintenance of floating photovoltaic power plants at home and abroad.
