CTG posts steady business growth in first 11 months of 2019

China Three Gorges Corporation (CTG) posted steady business growth in the first 11 months of this year despite the challenging environment, General Manager Wang Lin revealed at a monthly internal meeting on December 6.

CTG recorded steady and positive year-on-year growth in investment, operating income, gross profit and net profit from January to November, achieving its goal of maintaining positive growth in the period as the group further improved its operation and management to overcome the multiple headwinds, Wang said at the meeting on production scheduling and operation review for December in Beijing.

Wang, who presided the meeting and reviewed the reports on execution of the group’s overall planning and operating budgets from January to November this year as well as the current market situation and the group’s countermeasures, also highlighted the challenges CTG faces and the priorities for the group going forward.

“CTG is now entering the final sprint to fulfill its annual target,” said Wang, “we should work our best to finish 2019 on a high note and keep up our good work on the Wudongde and Baihetan hydropower stations.”

He also encouraged to explore new models to achieve aligned development of the Yangtze River protection and the group’s new energy business, so as to advance sustained endeavors in protecting the Yangtze River in an effective way.
