China Three Gorges Corp. (CTG) donated a batch of medical supplies to the Ministry of Health of Peru in a ceremony held in Beijing on April 15.
The materials include ventilators, monitors, defibrillators, medical protective gowns and face masks.
“CTG is highly concerned about COVID-19 outbreak in Peru and has purchased medical supplies in partnership with China National Pharmaceutical Group Co., Ltd. and SF Holdings, which we hope can be sent to Peru as soon as possible to support local pandemic prevention and control efforts,” Lei Mingshan, chairman of CTG, said.
Luis Quesada, Peruvian Ambassador to China, said that medical supplies and equipment donated by CTG to Peru would help the Peruvian government to contain the outbreak and save people's lives.
The boxes of medical supplies were covered by paintings by children of CTG employees, expressing deep friendship between the Chinese and Peruvians.
